Bags Galore

Hello Random Tuesday!

Okay so I’m really not a purse type person. I have a few designer purses I carry every so often, and sometimes everyday these days; but when I was in school I absolutely LOVED my Vera Bradley bags! The best thing about them is they hold up so well no matter what. I thought for today’s post I would show just how much these bags have held out over the years. While I have lost count of the many Vera Bradley bags galore and different patterns; I have three particular ones I have used the most over the last 10 years or so.

The Elizabeth Tote

My first set of Vera Bradley bags I got was a gift from my sister for my high school graduation. Ever since I was little, my favorite colors have been yellow and blue. She got me the yellow pattern with blue little flowers on it. I believe the name of it is Elizabeth and it came out in 1997 retiring in 2003. I still have most of the pieces and use the two Duffels for packing the clothes I haven’t worn in a while to save for later when I decide I want to wear something since Louisiana doesn’t particular have a summer and winter time. ?

While I used the tote almost everyday the first year and half when I started college, it got packed away when I moved to Plantation, FL so I didn’t see it for a 2-3 years. When I moved to Long Beach, MS I used it practically every day for the 2.5 years I was down there working on my Marine Science Bachelors. I used it up until Christmas of last year, when my mom and sister decided I had to get rid of it. ? They got me a new Vera Bradley Tote bag for Christmas and I have used it. I love it just like my other but it’s not as deep as my other one was so I have to rearrange of what I put in it.

Laptop Sleeve & Messenger Bag

In 2006, when I moved home from Florida, I decided I needed a computer bag to carry my laptop in I was taking to school practically everyday. Since I had a 17″ it wouldn’t fit in my other bag. I also got a matching messenger bag to go with it. By the time I graduated and moved to Mississippi for Marine Science, I was using my messenger bag for school stuff, laptop sleeve obviously for my laptop, and my tote for odds and ends I felt necessary to take with me in case I needed it for classes.

Like I said before, I used my tote bag for a while before moving to Florida and then again when I moved home but then practically every day when I moved to Mississippi. I used my other two bags practically everyday after purchasing them in 2006. So all three bags have held up for at least 10 years. I love these bags and didn’t want to replace them whatsoever but when they start to look old and there’s not much you can do about it, you have to do what you have to do.

Though I’m not in school anymore (hopefully I’ll be returning for my Masters one day), I have replaced my messenger bag with one of Vera Bradley newest patterns. It’s a bit to get use to but I am loving this pattern! I also got the rolling carry-on bag since I have been eyeing a rolling bag for years just haven’t brought myself to get one. When I made my purchases, they were having a sale for their birthday. Who doesn’t love a sale?

There you go, my take on how well Vera Bradley bags last with everyday use. So if you are looking for a great bag that’s well worth the money, Vera Bradley is the way to go.

Thanks for visiting. Hope to see you back here again.
