Happy Scrap It Friday Y’all!

We made it through another week!  Hope everyone has great plans for the weekend!  I wanted to go to the Hot-Air Balloon Festival they are having here in town but I’m out-of-town picking my sister up from the airport.  It’s a win-lose situation: so happy my sister is back in the States, but so sad I’m gonna miss the festival as it’s been years since they’ve had it here in town.  Oh well, I’d rather see my sis anyways. 😛

So several years back my dad had one of my drawing I did in 5th grade framed.  I semi-remember making this but what I do remember and why he got it framed was because it was hung in the office at school for a long time.  Grant it, I was in 5th grade when I made it but I think I was a pretty good drawer/painter if I do say so myself.  ? Save Everything Scrapbooking

Happy Friday once again and Scrap It Friday y’all!

Okay tell the truth!  If you are a scrapbooker you save basically everything — maps of aquariums, zoos, school schedules, etc.  If you have pets and scrapbook them (and I know you do!) you probably save things such as their first collars from when they were a puppy or kitten.  For your kiddos, well I don’t have kids yet but I know my mom saved things my sister and I made when we were in kindergarten.  Grand it, she hasn’t made those albums yet but I have my file folder in my closet for safe keeps either until she’s ready to make my album or I eventually make it myself (though I’m still working on pictures from when I lived in Long Beach, MS but haven’t even touched the pictures when I visited my sister in France in 2010. ? It’s not only Friday, it’s also the start of 4th of July Weekend!  I hope everyone has a great but safe one!!

For this post I wanted to show and compare the way scrapbook pages were made before scrapbooking became so popular.  As I have said in previous posts, I have been scrapbooking since I was in 5th grade.  Though I can’t seem to find my very first scrapbook, I have found my scrapbook from 8th grade.
