Hello, Wednesday! We’ve met again. Only a couple more days until the weekend and May 5th — AKA Cinco de Mayo! I guess for most it’s a good thing it’s on a Friday! ? Anyways, to continue my theme for this week, I have designed a saying for another project of which, I’m sure y’all know what will be. Let’s get started with “Cinco de Mayo….”
Things Used:

Step #1:
To start creating my simple saying, I used my Tombow Dual Brush Pen number 993. Just like for my saying last week, I added loops, only this time on some words.
Step #2:
Next, I used my Tombow Dual Brush Pen number 665 to give my “Cinco de Mayo” a two-toned look. To start this process, I used a scratch sheet of paper and made my marks accordingly to where I wanted to start my second color on top of my first. Then, I very carefully shaded the rest in from that point.
Step #3:
Finally, I used my last pen from my things used photo and added polka dots to the top part of my “Cinco de Mayo” saying. Once all was finished while taking pictures in between each step, I imported them into my Photoshop Elements 13 and removed the background for a cleaner look. Be sure to check back for “Scrap It Friday” to see my “Cinco de Mayo Double Page.”
There you go. A creative way to calligraphy out a saying. Hope you enjoyed! Need a place to get away for the weekend to work on all those creative ideas? Visit Memory Lane Inn for more information.
