It’s Cinco de Mayo Day!! Hope everyone has a great day! And hope Happy Birthday to my friend in Washington State! Hope you have a great day! So, yesterday nothing wanted to go right for me. I was very close to just saying forget this post, but I didn’t and went ahead and got my double page finished. YAY! Anyways, let’s get started with “Cinco de Mayo Double Page….”
Things Used:
- Sombrero Hat Drawing
- Cricut Explore
- Design Space
- Cricut Mat
- Mosaic Moments Grid Paper
- Various Cardstock
- Mosaic Moments Grid Planner
- Adhesive
So yeah, I was going to use my “Cino de Mayo” saying I made on “Write It Wednesday,” unfortunately with everything wanting to mess up on me I decided to not even try to get it to work for me so.
Step #1:
Within Cricut’s Design Space I created everything I wanted to be cut out just like I did with my “Happy Easter Y’all Double Page” I made for Easter. However, just like I had to last week with my “Scrapin’ Memories Double Page,” I had to have the Cricut Explore ‘draw’ my hat instead of cutting it out. Once everything was good to go, I had the Cricut do its thing from the iPad App.
Step #2:
With everything cut, I was ready to put all the pieces in their places on the grid paper.
First I put the green pieces in their places.
Step #4:
Then I added the orange pieces to their spots.
Step #5:
Using my Tombow Dual Brush pens, I carefully finished my “Sombrero Hats” for the double page. I used the same pen numbers as I did with my original drawing from “Make It Monday.” For the Cricut Explore to draw it, I used my Black BIC Mark-It Pen since those are what I use in my Cricut and fits. Here’s a quick video of my Cricut Explore drawing my “Sombrero Hat.”
Step #6:
With my hats finished, I put them on the double page layout along with my single yellow piece on the left side.
