First thing I did to start my “Hand-Drawn Cricut-Made Stencil Starfish Board” project, was open a new project in Cricut Design Space and cut my hand-drawn starfish out on Cricut’s Stencil Vinyl.

While my Cricut Explore was cutting my starfish out, I went ahead and started on my board and painted my first coat of paint on the front and sides. Here I used the “satin Driftwood” color paint.

Here, I carefully placed the outside piece of my starfish stencil on my board to where I wanted it to go. Then, I put the inside circles to their places within my starfish stencil on my board.

With my starfish stencil in place, I carefully painted the middle of the stencil using the “satin Goldenrod” paint. Again, I added two coats allowing each coat to dry at least an hour each time. Once everything was nice and dry, I carefull removed the circles and the large stencils.
