We’ve made it halfway through the week! So far all I’ve really done is work on my posts here, and study for my upcoming test. They basically both take up all my time except for breaking for food. Anyways, today I’m going to show y’all the rest of what I did with my “Mardi Gas Beads” I made on “Make It Monday.” So let’s get started with “Laissez les bons temps rouler,” Which means “Let the Good Times Roll!” in French…
Things Used:
- “Mardi Gras Beads” hand drawing from “Make It Monday”
- Fine Tip Sharpie Pens
- Tombow Fudenosuke Hard Tip Pen
- Canson Marker Paper
Step #1:
The first thing I did when starting the second part of my project here, was write out “Laissez les bons temps rouler!” with my Tombow Fudenosuke Hard Tip pen on a separate piece of Canson Marker Paper for practice.
Then also using my Tombow Fudenosuke Hard Tip pen, I added my faux calligraphy lines to each letter.
Step #2:
Once I was satisfied with my faux calligraphy lines, I traced over my writing in the middle of my “Mardi Gras Beads.”
Step #3:
I added my faux calligraphy lines to my letters within my “Mardi Gras Beads” using my Tombow Fudenosuke Hard Tip pen.
Step #4:
Here, I started using my Fine Tip Sharpie Pens. Starting with the first letter “L,” I used my green fine tip sharpie pen to ‘color’ in between the lines of the faux calligraphy. I continued while skipping two letters at a time.
Step #5:
Using my purple Fine Tip Sharpie pen, I filled in each letter after the green colored ones.
Step #6:
Finally, using my yellow Fine Tip Sharpie pen, I filled in the rest of my letters to complete my “Mardi Gras Beads” “Laissez les bons temps rouler” drawing.
There you go! A hand-drawing of “Mardi Gras Beads” with “Let the Good Times Roll” in French written in faux calligraphy. Hope you enjoyed and learned something new!
