Howdy Random Tuesday!
Get through today, and we would have made it through the first month of 2017! YAY!! So today I wanted to share, for those who may not know about this feature, a way to ‘magnify your life’ with your iPhone. This feature is also available on iPads, but all the pictures I use today are from my iPhone. Let’s get started…
Magnify Your Life
I came across this feature on my iPhone shortly after we purchased my dad’s new iPhone for his birthday last year. Last year, Apple® released their iOS 10 update, and it included this Accessibility feature. Within the Accessibility features, you can find a way to turn your camera into a magnifier. Have problems reading small print in general and carry around reading glasses just in case? Well, now you don’t have to. Here is how you set up this feature and how it works.
Step #1:
Click on your Settings icon.
Step #2:
Then, click on General.
Step #3:
Next, click on Accessibility.
Step #4:
Once in Accessibility, you will see Magnifier on the third row down.
Step #5:
Click on Magnifier and slide the slider to the right where it shows green on the left. You can also set the Auto-Brightness to ‘on’ but personally, I’ve never used it.
Step #6:
Once back on the home screen, triple-click your home button quickly and it will bring you to a screen that is similar to the camera. After to the Magnifier feature, you can move the yellow slider accordingly. All the way to the right makes whatever you want to magnify bigger, all the way to the left makes it smaller.
There you go, a way to “magnify your life” when you need it the most. Hope you enjoyed and learned something new.
