Hello Make It Monday!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Some of y’all are off due to President’s Day so, here’s to the long weekend. Anyways, today I am showing off how I hand-drew a simple but appropriate for this time of year drawing. Let’s get started with “Mardi Gras Beads…”
Things Used:
- Canson Marker Paper Pad
- Pencil
- Tombow Eraser
- Fine Tip Sharpie Pens
- Tombow Dual Brush Pens
Step #1:
The first thing I did was draw a random imperfect circle with a pencil. Since Mardi Gras Beads are essentially a necklace, it made it easier to hand-draw.
Step #2:
With my imperfect circle finished, I started added random imperfect small circles along the line of my big circle. To make my Mardi Gras Beads more unique, I randomized the circles from big to small.
Step #3:
Instead of tracing right over my circles, I placed my pencil drawing under my next piece of Canson Marker Paper and started using my Fine Tip Sharpie Pens to make my final copy of my Mari Gras Beads. I started with my Green Fine Tip Sharpie Pen. Next, I used my Purple Fine Tip Sharpie Pen to trace over the circles on the right of the green circles.
Finally, I traced over the circles that were left with my Yellow Fine Tip Sharpie Pen and watched as my Mardi Gras Beads started to come to life.
Step #4:
Continuing to make my Mardi Gras Beads come to life, I switched over to use my Tombow Dual Brush Pens. Using number 245 out of the Tombow Dual Brush Pen Set, I carefully colored in each of the green circles.
Step #5:
Next, using Tombow Dual Brush Pen number 665, I then colored in the purple colored circles.
Step #6:
To finish my Mardi Gras Beads off, I used Tombow Dual Brush number 055 to color in the yellow circles.
And there you go, Mardi Gras Beads hand-drawn for Mardi Gras/Carnival Season! Hope you enjoyed! Be sure to check back or sign up for emails to see my final product of this hand-drawn Mardi Gras Beads. You’re gonna LOVE IT!
