It’s Random Tuesday!
Hope y’all are having a great day so far! Yesterday I shared how to make some beach ornaments. Today, I decided I wanted to share a little bit about our MS Gulf Coast Trip. No worries, I’ll try not to make it too boring! 🙂 Let’s get started…
MS Gulf Coast Trip
As y’all all know I absolutely LOVE the beach! I cannot wait for the day I get to move back to a beach, whether it’s back the the MS Gulf Coast or any place else, I’m there! Our trip down was mainly because we decided to attend the scrapbook retreat we started going to when I lived there several years ago for my degree in Marine Science. Though it didn’t happen, I also had the plans to go look around for another place to live so I could go ahead and get ready for the new year.
One of our favorite places to go is the Jim Simpson, SR. Memorial Fishing Pier. We usually stop by either Starbucks or PJs Coffee before heading to the pier. A few times we have stopped and gotten such as Raising Canes, but this trip it was so windy we settled on Starbucks.
Recommendations:
Need a place to eat while visiting the MS Gulf Coast? In Long Beach, we love going to the Harbor View Cafe. It is located off Hwy 90 practically straight across from the Jim Simpson, SR. Memorial Fishing Pier. Heading to downtown Gulfport? Tony’s Brick Oven Pizzeria is the place to be! They have the absolute BEST pizza EVER!! I’m from North Louisiana and have always LOVED Johnny’s Pizza, but this place has them beat! I kid you not! If you’ve never been there and you live in the area, you are missing out! Just saying!
Shopping:
The Gulfport Premium Outlets is a great place to shop. Truthfully, I’m not one to shop for clothes but when I did need a new outfit to wear, this is the place I went.
Beach:
Now this is the tricky part. If you want beach toys and what not to play with in the water you’ll want to go towards the Biloxi area down Hwy 90. However, if you want somewhere quite where there’s not that many people whatsoever around, the Long Beach area is where you are going to want to be. I’m not sure if he’s still there, but there use to be a man who rented out some lounge chairs with umbrella across from the Holiday Inn Express in Long Beach. Though since we haven’t been there during the summer months since before I moved back, I haven’t seen him.
A few more pictures:
Here’s a few more pictures I took while we were down there in November. Enjoy!
Thanks for visiting. Hope to see you back here again. If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact me and I will answer as quickly as possible.
