Oh, Oily Thursday, We Met Again!
For the first Christmas I had my Young Living Essential Oils, my sister got me a super cute bottle holder. I think she thought it would prevent me from carrying as many as I could fit in my purse and for the most part it worked, but I still carry a lot with me no matter. You just never know when you will need something. However, I do have ‘my essentials’ that I have made a must for my day-to-day activities.
My Essentials
In my cute little holder I have the following essential oils:
- M-Grain Essential Oil
- Panaway Essential Oil
- Marjoram Essential Oil
- Purification Essential Oil
- Digize Essential Oil
- Peppermint Essential Oil
- Lemon Vitality Essential Oil
In addition to the bottles, I also have my essential rollers I carry with me; which include, Deep Relief and Stress Away. I also love to take one of my Thieves Spray Bottles Young Living sales.
What Each One Is Great For:
M-Grain Essential Oil is good for just what it says, if your head hurts super bad some or most days this stuff is great! Depending on where I am depends on whether I will either inhale, apply directly, or add a few drops to my diffuser. I wish I had this stuff when I was in school for my marine science degree since every time I left the lab from being on a microscope, I would get home and my head would be pounding. At that time, they only thing that helped was my eye mask and ear plugs; but even then, it still wasn’t enough. I carry this one around for a just in case type thing since I never know when I’ll get somewhere and my head starts pounding.
Panaway Essential Oil I have talked a little about before in previous posts. This oil has been a lifesaver for when I have gotten Charlie Horses at random times or waking up because of one or more. As I have mentioned in those earlier posts, I carry this one around for those moments I need pain relief from anything other than when my head starts pounding. Ironically, I just had to put some on my big toe, as I somehow broke the nail and now it not only hurts, it’s bleeding too. ? Nothing a little bit of this oil and Lavender can’t make feel better.
Marjoram Essential Oil I have also talked about before in previous posts. This oil I take orally in a capsule. Sometimes I get so busy in the mornings to remember, I keep a few empty capsules in my pill case. Take a look at my previous posts for more information on this particular essential oil.
Purification Essential Oil is a blend that has six different oils. Within it has, Lemongrass, Citronella, Lavandin, Melaleuca Alternifolia (aka Tea Tree), Rosemary, and Myrtle. With this combination of oils, this blend great for getting rid of bad odors and keeping biting bugs away. When the Citronella Oil was out of stock I used this one to make my bug spray, which I will post within the next few weeks so check back or sign up for my e-mails and find me on Instagram and Facebook!
Digize Essential Oil I have luckily and knock on wood, not had to use it yet. It’s great for stomach issues; as it’s a blend containing Tarragon, Ginger, Peppermint, Juniper, Fennel, Lemongrass, Anise, and Patchoulil, it’s great for stomach issues. Eat something that didn’t settle well with your stomach? Use this to help soothe the ache away. This particular oil, can either added to your drinking water, taken in a capsule with a carrier oil, or rubbed directly with a carrier oil.
Peppermint Essential Oil I use for various things. I’ve talked about on previous posts how it’s part of the trio for Seasonal Issues but I also use it for such when I’m making a trip outside the city. Even though sometimes I feel like I could just drive forever, I hate driving mainly because I just can’t seem to ever stay awake enough.
Now, I’ve never fallen asleep behind the wheel before; but there have been times when I’ve had to pull over for the night, even though I was only an hour or so out from where I was going. This was however, before I started using my Peppermint Oil for more than just studying (which I will cover next week). When I’m driving and need a quick perk I just take my Peppermint Oil (pulled over to the side of course) and dab a little on each wrist, put it in my USB diffuser, or on a cotton ball (before hitting the road).
Lemon Vitality Essential Oil I have talked about this one several times throughout my previous posts. I just cannot stress enough of how much I love this particular oil. This oil has so many uses for it besides just smelling great. As I have previously stated, I cannot stand the taste of an actual lemon but the oil ?!!
Additional Essentials:
Thieves Spray is another on the go one for me. Mainly because, if I get a sore throat, I can just spray it directly into my mouth, or rub it on the outside to soothe the soreness right away. Now, I am one of those who will not use a public restroom unless I absolutely positively have to, at least I was until I got my first bottle of this stuff.
These days when I’m out and about, and gotta go; I spray the seat, wipe it off with tissue and I’m good. It’s also a great hand sanitizer. I love the waterless hand sanitizer Young Living sales; which is also Thieves with Peppermint added; but the spray has so many more uses, it’s more convenient for me at least.
Deep Relief Roller I have talked about this one numerous times in previous posts, but I absolutely love this roller. It’s definitely a must! Check out my other posts for more details.
Stress Away Roller I have also talked about before in previous posts. I should probably use this one a bit more than what I have been. I have been trying to stay calm and more relaxed these days for various reasons, but really who doesn’t want to feel stress? This is a must for everyone!
