Pouch

It’s Write It Wednesday!!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far!! I’m ready for Friday but then again who isn’t?! For today I have embossed a pencil or pens pouch. I wasn’t quite sure if it would actually work but guess what… it did! It got a little more messier than usual with the embossing powder but only because of the type of material the pouch is so the excess powder didn’t want to come off easily.

Let’s get started….

  • Pouch
  • Embossing Pen
  • Heat Gun
  • Embossing Powder
  • Catcher for powder (optional)

Step #1:

Write out what you want on your pouch with your embossing pen. I personalized my pouch with my name. This particular pouch I purchased from Target. If I remember right, it was about $5.00. My sister purchased the pen for me somewhere I just don’t remember where.

Step #2:

Using the color embossing powder you want, cover the written area with the powder. Next, allow the excess powder to fall in whatever you are using to catch the excess. I then gently blew more of the excess off, just be careful as some of the powder on the written area could come off so you would want to cover it back up with some more powder. (Told you it gets messier than usual.) These powders I have I purchased from The Paper Source store in Dallas, TX after taking a class to make some super cute cards there.

Finally, using your embossing heat gun, go over the written area and watch the magic as it embeds the powder into your pouch. I just love to watch it as you know it is working. ? Just like the powders, I purchased the heat gun at The Paper Source store in Dallas, TX. When we took the class we also got a percentage off our purchase so it was totally worth it!
