Happy Make It Monday!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! It’s only 14 days til Christmas, so who’s ready!? I’ve gotta a few gifts wrapped. Unfortunately, I’ve also misplaced a box when two things in it for my mom and sis. I have looked everywhere for it and it is no where to be found. Hopefully it will show up before Christmas. Anyways, today I made some Christmas towels, and since I’ve crazy about the beach and sea life I’ve made them Sea Life Christmas Towels. Let’s get started…
Sea Life Christmas Towels
Things Used:
- Iron
- Ironing Board
- Piece of fabric
- Kitchen Towels
- Cricut Mat
- Design Space
- Cricut Explore
- Weeding tool for Cricut
- Iron-on Vinyl
Step #1:
After deciding on which sea life animals I wanted to use, I got them ready in Cricut Design Space. Once they were ready to go, I had my Cricut Explore cut them out, while making sure my settings where correct. **Side note: I purposely didn’t mirror my images since I wanted them to go the opposite way.**
Step #2:
I used my weeding tool to remove the excess and other pieces that needed to be removed, after my Cricut Explore was finished cutting. Then, I carefully placed the first set on my towel for position. I purchased my towels from Target a couple months ago when I saw they were on sale. They were less than $2!!
Step #3:
After getting everything into position, I used my iron and my piece of fabric to carefully iron on the two pieces one at a time. Once getting the first set finished, I worked on the second set of my sea life images for my other kitchen towel.
Step #4:
If you notice I have two different color glitter vinyl and had no problems getting them to stay in place. My secret? Check back for my “Write It Wednesday” post and I’ll tell you! You’re gonna love it!
