Beach, School, Study, Repeat!

Happy Scrap It Friday!!

Today I thought I would share another page out of my Long Beach, Mississippi Beach Album. It’s a page I put together to make as my title page for my scrapbook. Though simple to make, it sums everything about my album up into one page; more or less at least. The title on the is my description for what’s in this album — “Beach, School, Study, Repeat!” — it’s basically all I did! Continue reading “Beach, School, Study, Repeat!”

You are the Anchor to my Heart…

It’s Scrap It Friday again!

The Weekend is HERE!!

I LOVE the beach (in case you haven’t noticed!), in fact; I plan to one day (hopefully sooner, rather than later) have my wedding on a beach. So today I made a double page layout with a beachy theme. Since today is my parent’s wedding anniversary, I thought it would be just right to do a wedding type layout; but make it for someone who plans or has had a beach wedding, like me. The layout’s name is “You are the Anchor to my Heart.” I also thought this would be a nice layout type for two sets of people I know who got married this summer either on a cruise or somewhere on a beach.

Summer Planner Inserts

Happy Make It Monday Y’all!!

We made it to another week!

Today I made Cricut’s Summer Planner Day-by-Day inserts. I thought it was really fun and cute; so I decided I would make this planner for the rest of my summer plans and through next year. I love how it has a place to keep track of how much H2O you drink and meal planning. Though I could keep track on my phone for such, I tend to do a better job tracking by using the old fashion way of just writing/marking it down. Continue reading “Summer Planner Inserts”

Father’s Day Gift

It’s Make It Monday again!

So for my Father’s Day Gift, I made my dad a new bag to carry his stuff back and forth from his office. I decided he needed a new one since he seemed to be missing his old bag that broke and the replacements he had went up in flames when our warehouse burned down. Once I actually got started on making it (I had it planned for over a month), it went fairly quick.

A small back story on what the bag is for other than work — my dad owns and runs a fitness company which manufacturers and distributes fitness equipment all over the United States. He started the business back in the early 2000s. He owns 3 brand names with equipment he has designed himself with the help of a few of his employees and of course, his daughters and wife, throughout the years. Continue reading “Father’s Day Gift”

The THEN & NOW of Scrapbooking

Happy “Scrap It Friday

my fellow Scrappers!

It’s not only Friday, it’s also the start of 4th of July Weekend!  I hope everyone has a great but safe one!!

For this post I wanted to show and compare the way scrapbook pages were made before scrapbooking became so popular.  As I have said in previous posts, I have been scrapbooking since I was in 5th grade.  Though I can’t seem to find my very first scrapbook, I have found my scrapbook from 8th grade.
