Texas State Aquarium

It’s Scrap It Friday Y’all!!

So, as most of y’all return visitors know, I love dolphins and have since I was younger. Due to the events that have happened in just the last week I decided I would share this double page from the Texas State Aquarium I put together seven to eight years ago. I’m quite certain that if it wasn’t for  my love of dolphins and marine mammals my family would not have visit all of the aquariums and zoo they have over the years. I love this double page because I am on the floor of the aquarium and one of the dolphins happened to come right up next to the glass to ‘sit’ with me. Let’s get started…

Texas State Aquarium

To begin with, for this double page I used a light blue color cardstock as my background and a darker blue color cardstock for my backing of my pictures.

Left Side:

At the bottom, I have a strip of waves also covered in glitter, as well as, the droplets towards the center of the page. If I remember correctly, I purchased these items at the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington, Texas, the first or second year we attended.

Teavana.comThe basics of what these items are is where the word, waves, and droplets were already cut out for me but had a layer to peel off the top where I was able to add whatever color glitter I wanted to it. The dolphins towards the middle of the page (not in a picture) had come in a packet of die cuts also purchased from the Great American Scrapbook Convention. These days I would probably just use a cut out of the dolphin I drew a couple of months ago.
