Howdy Write It Wednesday!
So, if you saw Monday’s Make It Monday post you would have seen I have an envelope with a card that needs to be addressed. Since I only seemed to have one white pen, I went and got me one more pen yesterday that would show up when writing on black cardstock. First, I’ll show you the difference in the two pens. Finally, I’ll write an address on my envelope. This address is my old Florida address though when we moved out on our terms, the complex was being bought out and changed into condos so I’m pretty sure that address doesn’t particular exist anymore. Let’s get started…
Writing on Black
Things Used:
- Black Envelope
- White Gelly Roll 08 Pen
- DecoColor Calligraphy Oil Based Opaque Pigmented Paint Marker
White Gelly Roll 08 Pen:
I love this pen when using it to do anything on my scrapbooking pages. For years I have gone through many packs of these because I use it so much. As far as using it for calligraphy writing, good luck! Unless you do false calligraphy (and I have yet to master it), it’s basically no good for calligraphy writing. So, therefore, this pen is only good at this time for scrapbooking as far as I go and today’s Write It Wednesday’s Writing on Black goes.
DecoColor Calligraphy Oil Based Opaque Pigmented Paint Marker:
Now, this pen is a bit of a different story. I just got this pen yesterday so getting use to it will take time. As of now I don’t know for sure I like the way it writes since I know it should have the calligraphy writing look. Unfortunately, I don’t feel like I’m holding it quite right which means I’m not getting that calligraphy writing look. I guess with time I will get use to it and figure out how to hold it correctly for that calligraphy writing look.
Writing on Black:
Since I’m not to overly joyed about the Gelly Roll pen, I used the DecoColor pen to address the envelope. Like I said above I’m still getting use to the pen itself since I just got it yesterday; which is why the above looks totally horrible. No matter how much I practiced yesterday, it just wasn’t happening to come out better. Oh well, practice makes better; just not in a day!
